October 21st, 2016
We are going to be holding a “Costume Day” on Friday, October 28th. Students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite story book character, super hero, sports hero, occupation, or any other costume that they have at home or can easily create. If you choose to have your child wear a costume, please remember that students are not to wear masks, or have any weapons (plastic swords, knives, guns, etc.) that are carried with them. We are encouraging costumes that are not gory, or frightening. Please be mindful that many students have expressed fear over the reports of spooky clowns. Students are permitted to wear their costumes first thing in the morning and we will have a little special celebration in the gym where we will showcase the various costumes. Please make sure that your child has their regular clothes under their costume. If that is not possible, they will need a change of clothes that they can change easily into at first nutrition break.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher.
